What is a technician(tech) appointment?
At Irving Pet Hospital we like to keep costs at a minimum. We offer this service as a courtesy to our clients so that you do not have to pay an office call fee every time you bring your pet into our clinic. A tech appointment is appointment time that has been set aside for a technician to administer vaccines, trim nails, express anal glands, and tend to the many other treatments they are specially skilled to do.
How long will this appointment take?
We know that your time is very valuable.
Generally speaking these appointments are very quick. It can take anywhere from 5-10 minutes depending on what is being done.
We apologize in advance for any extended wait time.
Why is my pet taken “into the back”?
We do not reserve room time for these appointments. We are able to waive our office call fee because these appointments are not taking up room space. These appointments are meant to be quick for your convenience. Because of this we generally run your pet into the back, administer treatment and bring them right back to you.
