Veterinarians

Besides the opportunity to work with an extremely smart, fun, and dedicated staff, here are some of the benefits you can expect as a veterinarian:

  • Annual Production Expectations & Compensation In your role as an Irving Pet Hospital veterinarian, salary is based on production. We offer a base salary of $150,000 or 20% production, whichever is greater after two pay periods. We expect you to be responsible for a minimum of $750,000 gross production* per year.

Veterinary TechnicianLearn More

Our team of veterinary professionals will embody our mission through a combination of core values. Our team asks each other for help, offers help, and accepts help, knowing we are all working towards the good of our clients and patients. In addition to possessing competent technical skills and knowledge, our employees uphold a high standard of professionalism and are able to work effectively as a team.

We have one full-time opening for a Certified Veterinary Technician or Highly Experienced Veterinary Assistant. Technicians are vital members of the medical team and at Irving Pet Hospital; your skills will be fully utilized. Primary responsibilities include providing a high standard of nursing care to patients through compliance with the attending DVM’s instructions, maintaining a clean and sterile work environment, inducing and monitoring anesthesia, assisting in surgery, performing in-house lab work, calculating dosages and administering medications, assisting during euthanasia and providing aftercare for deceased patients, ensuring the hospital is stocked appropriately, and providing excellent customer service to clients and visitors.

What we need from you

  • A minimum of 5 years of previous veterinary technician or assistant experience
  • 3 years of surgical experience
  • Strong client service skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • The ability to assist in training new employees
