Dr. Jessika Rosewitz joined Irving Pet Hospital as an Associate Veterinarian in August 2025. She has special interests in internal medicine, preventive care, surgery, and wildlife conservation, and is an active member of both the California Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association. For Dr. Rosewitz, the best part of being a veterinarian is supporting pets through every stage of life while being part of the incredible community formed by pets and their families. She also values how the profession provides constant opportunities to learn and grow.
Originally from Montreal, Canada, Dr. Rosewitz earned her B.S. in Cell and Developmental Biology from California State University, Fullerton in 2020 before completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Oregon State University in 2024. Her passion for animals was further deepened through two years of volunteering at Orana Wildlife Park in New Zealand, where she gained firsthand experience with conservation and wildlife care.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Rosewitz shares her home with two Shiba Inus—Kepler and Tasman—named after favorite hiking trails in New Zealand. They’re affectionately described as the “cuddliest Shibas ever.” In her free time, she enjoys exploring the city, training for races with her husband, spending time at the beach, cooking, and ice skating whenever she travels back to Canada.
