Dr. Lauren Silverman joined Irving Pet Hospital as an Associate Veterinarian in June 2025. She has special interests in internal medicine, dentistry, dermatology, and behavior, and is a proud member of the California Veterinary Medical Association. For Dr. Silverman, the most rewarding part of veterinary medicine is building lasting relationships with pets and their families.
Originally from Mountain View, CA, she earned her Animal Science degree from Cal Poly Pomona in 2011 and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences in 2015. Her passion for the field began early, inspired by her childhood dog Frisky, whose frequent vet visits introduced her to the compassionate care and problem-solving at the heart of the profession.
Outside of work, Dr. Silverman enjoys playing ultimate frisbee—something she’s done around the world since college—along with reading and participating in a book club. She and her husband share a special bond over their late dog Rufus, who played a key role in bringing them together. At home, she stays busy with their two young daughters, both of whom already dream of becoming veterinarians one day.
