An Update on Our COVID-19 Procedures
July 23, 2021
At Irving Pet Hospital, our priority during the pandemic has been to keep our staff, patients, and clients healthy. That said, we do understand that life over the last 15+ months has been stressful and difficult given the resulting safety restrictions and adjusted protocols.
We also understand that since vaccinations are now widely available and the risk of infection by the original coronavirus has lessened, most businesses, including many veterinary practices, have re-opened their doors to the public.
At Irving Pet Hospital, we always operate from an abundance of caution and take our role as a health care provider very seriously. Currently there are two more rapidly spreading variants of the coronavirus, and as of this date, only about 62% of Californians are fully vaccinated.
With this in mind, we have made the decision to keep our hospital building closed to the public for now, and to continue to provide care using curbside procedures.
Please know we hear and understand many of our clients’ feedback about the inconvenience of these protocols, and we do hope to re-open our building to you as soon as we feel it is safe to do so. However, as a small business with a small team we cannot take the chance of having members of our staff infected, as it would cripple our ability to provide care.
The entire Irving Pet Hospital team wants to express our appreciation for your continued patience and understanding as we navigate this unprecedented time. Caring for your furry family members is our privilege and we also want you to know that no matter the challenges, we are always here to help.
If you have any questions about our curbside and hospital procedures, please don’t hesitate to give us a call at (415) 664-0191.
