Michael Greener

Michael Greener

Dr. Greener, grew up on Long Island, NY, where he spent his weekends volunteering at his local public animal shelter since he was 12 years old. He has known since he was very young that he was destined to be a veterinarian. He went to SUNY-ESF for college where he received his bachelors degree in Environmental Biology. He then attended veterinary school in Urbana-Champaign at the University of Illinois. Here he decided after 4 years of living in the snowiest city (Syracuse) and 4 years living in the windiest state (Illinois) that he wanted to move to the west coast where the weather is beautiful all year round. Dr. Greener has raised three dogs in his lifetime and in vet school once Covid hit, adopted his own one-eyed black cat named Boba. He has an interest in exotic species, ophthalmology, shelter medicine and surgery and cares a lot about fear free practice. You may see him in the hospital wearing his signature color, green. When he isn’t working with animals you can find him hiking outdoors, traveling the world, or just cuddling up with his one eyed panther watching Netflix.
