Dr. Lau joined Irving Pet Hospital in 2015. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Physiology and Neuroscience degree from the University of California at San Diego in 2008 and received her DVM from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. Following graduation, Dr. Lau completed a one-year internship at the Pet Emergency and Specialty Center of Marin in California, where she pursued her interests in emergency veterinary medicine, dermatology, and internal medicine. She is currently a member of the American Veterinary Association and San Francisco Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Lau is a Bay Area native who loves being part of this community and building relationships with pet owners and their animal companions.
Outside of work she enjoys hiking, exploring local farmer’s markets and craft fairs, and travel. She and her husband have two dogs: a Dachshund/Terrier mix named Chip she rescued while in vet school, and a Golden Retriever named Alfie, who you’ll see following her around at Irving.
