Medical Staff Coordinator Jana Carris first joined the staff at Irving Pet Hospital in June of 2010 and has worked in the pet care field since 1999.

Jana says she enjoys being able to not only interact with our many clients, but meeting their pets as well. "I love meeting the clients and their pets and watching them grow and develop over the years," she says. "I find it very rewarding to help pets and their owners as much as I can."

At home, Jana has three cats named Sowie, Punk, and Jaden, a dog named Norris, and turtle named Gary. She also enjoys spending time with her family, reading, painting, cooking, and baking, and she says she has a slight obsession with the online video game World of Warcraft, though she does not allow it to affect her life too much.

Amy Barrett is a Registered Veterinary Technician. She began her career in the animal care field in 2006 and has been with the Irving Pet Hospital since July of 2008.

"I like the lengths that our clients will go to in order to care for their animals," she says. "I love the animals we care for and the fact that I play a part in helping to keep them healthy."

At home Amy has a 2-year-old domestic shorthair cat named Summer and when not working she enjoys water polo, reading and bike riding.

Jim Pint, RVT Jim Pint, Registered Veterinary Technician

Jim Pint is a Registered Veterinary Technician who began his animal care career here at Irving Pet Hospital in the Fall of 2008.

At home, Jim has a 4-year-old Newfoundland named Katie. When not working he enjoys skiing, mountain biking, golfing, and wine tasting.

"The doctors at the Hospital encourage me to improve my skills and knowledge of the field of veterinary medicine," she says. "I've worked at many veterinary hospitals and this place has one of the most friendly and talented group of people I have met so far."

At home, Diane has a Holland Lop rabbit named Choji Nguyen and a Pitbull mix named Mahji Lee. She also enjoys arts & crafts such as painting, sketching, and making jewelry; taking long walks through Golden Gate Park, and spending time with her family and pets.

Cindy Lau, Veterinary Assistant

Veterinary Assistant Cindy Lau joined us here at Irving in February of 2012. She supports the healthcare of all our patients by giving injections, administering medications, drawing blood, performing nail trims and ear cleanings and much more. Cindy has a nursing degree from the Universitry of San Francisco.

"I like working at Irving because I feel that our veterinarians care about all our patients in the hospital as if they were their own," Cindy said.

Cindy has two dogs, Bubba and Summer, and she relaxes away from the clinic by hanging out with friends, working out, playing tennis and basketball and bringing her dogs to the park.

Ariana Dixon, Kennel Assistant

As a Kennel Assistant with Irving Pet Hospital, Ariana Dixon's duties include keeping the kennel area clean, assisting the veterinary technicians when needed, and exercising dogs. She started working at the hospital in January 2013.

"I love working at Irving Pet Hospital because the people I work with are great," she said. "They really care about the animals — everyone makes sure the animals are well taken care of."

When not at work, Ariana keeps herself busy caring for seven dogs (Puff, Hennessey, Prince, Taco, Paco, Jezibelle, and Kella), three cats (Gray, Cinda, and Jack), and two birds (Rio and Rainbow). She enjoys spending time with her family and animals, as well as camping, fishing, hiking, swimming, and watching movies.
