Amy Barrett, RVT Amy Barrett, Registered Veterinary Technician

Amy Barrett is a Registered Veterinary Technician. She began her career in the animal care field in 2006 and has been with the Irving Pet Hospital since July of 2008.

Amy says that among the many joys of her work is the enjoyment of working with her many colleagues here at the Irving Pet Hospital. "I like the lengths that our clients will go to in order to care for their animals," she says. "I love the animals we care for and the fact that I play a part in helping to keep them healthy."

At home Amy has a 2-year-old domestic shorthair cat named Summer and when not working she enjoys water polo, reading and bike riding.

Jim Pint, RVT Jim Pint, Registered Veterinary Technician

Jim Pint is a Registered Veterinary Technician who began his animal care career here at Irving Pet Hospital in the Fall of 2008.

Jim says one of the main attractions to working here is the environment within which he works. "I enjoy my fellow coworkers and it's great to work with the patients we have at this hospital," he says.

At home, Jim has a 4-year-old Newfoundland named Katie. When not working he enjoys skiing, mountain biking, golfing, and wine tasting.

Belinda Gonzalez, Technician Belinda Gonzalez, Veterinary Assistant

Belinda Gonzalez is a Veterinary Assistant who began her career here at Irving Pet Hospital in August of 2008.

Belinda says her love for her work with us is centered on the ability to help support the health of our various patients. "Working here gave me the opportunity to help animals—our best friends—to feel better not just with medicine, but with love," she says.

At home, Belinda has a Chihuahua named Coko. When not working she enjoys spending time with family and friends and dancing to Salsa music. She also plays the Surdo—a bass drum used in many kinds of Brazilian music—with a Brazilian group called Fogo na Roupa.

Kelly Lam, Technician Kelly Lam, Head Medical Staff Coordinator

Kelly Lam is a Veterinary Assistant and Head Medical Staff Coordinator with a BS in Animal Physiology and Neuroscience from the University of California, San Diego. She first started her career in the animal care field back in 2005 and has been with Irving Pet Hospital since November of 2008.

Kelly says that she enjoys her time at Irving Pet Hospital due to the professional and caring attitude we bring to our work. "I am proud to work with a team of staff that cares about every pet that walks through the door as if they were their own," she says.

At home, Kelly has three cats and two leopard geckos. She also enjoys cooking, reading and hiking.

Kimmee Brodie, Technician Kimmee Brodie, Veterinary Assistant

Kimmee Brodie is a Veterinary Assistant who began her career with Irving Pet Hospital in 2008. She has an Associate's Degree as a Veterinary Technician from Western Career College in San Leandro, California.

Kimmee says that one area of importance where Irving Pet Hospital excels is in our efforts to inform and educate our clients. "I enjoy working at this hospital because of the staff," she says. "I have an opportunity to work with a team where everyone believes in patient care and how important it is for us to educate and support pet owners."

At home, Kimmee has an 8-year-old Chihuahua named Bambam and a 3-year-old Toy Poodle named Pebbles. When not working with various pets, she enjoys hiking, Pilates, kick-boxing, swimming and running.

Laurie Stiles, Technician Laurie Stiles, Veterinary Assistant

Laurie Stiles is a Veterinary Assistant who first began her career in 1996. She has been working at Irving Pet Hospital since August of 2007.

Laurie says that she believes it is important to treat each patient with the same care and compassion as we would one of our own pets. "I love being a Veterinary Technician as it is one of the best jobs I could have," she says. "I like that we take care of all the pets like they are our own."

At home, Laurie has a domestic shorthair cat named Milo and a Lab named Harvey. While not taking care of various pets, she enjoys hiking, wildlife photography, camping, sports and softball.

Diane Nguyen, Veterinary Technician Diane Nguyen, Veterinary Assistant

Diane Nguyen is a Veterinary Assistant who joined Irving Pet Hospital's staff after completing course work for her Veterinary Technician's degree.

Diane says that since joining our staff she has been able to continue to develop as a veterinary technician. "The doctors at the Hospital encourage me to improve my skills and knowledge of the field of veterinary medicine," she says. "I've worked at many veterinary hospitals and this place has one of the most friendly and talented group of people I have met so far."

At home, Diane has a Holland Lop rabbit named Choji Nguyen and a Pitbull mix named Mahji Lee. She also enjoys arts & crafts such as painting, sketching, and making jewelry; taking long walks through Golden Gate Park, and spending time with her family and pets.

Angela Vanessa Le, Veterinary Technician Angela Vanessa Le, Veterinary Assistant

Angela Vanessa Le is a Veterinary Assistant who has been with Irving Pet Hospital since August of 2010 and has worked in the pet care field since 2007. She also has a Bachelor's of Science degree in Animal Science from California Polytechnic State University, Pomona.

"My favorite aspect of working at this particular veterinary hospital is education," Angela says. "This isn't just an animal hospital, it is also a classroom. I admire the passion, enthusiasm and willingness of the doctors and staff to educate pet owners as well as each other to achieve a better understanding of the field of veterinary medicine. I am very happy to have found such a wonderful group of people to work with and environment to learn in."

When not caring for our clients' pets, Angela can be found spending time with her family and friends, traveling, practicing photography, snowboarding, playing volleyball, participating in extreme sports, and visiting Disneyland.
